5 /5 A D: We love Grumpy’s! Truly the best burgers in the foothills and a perfect family atmosphere. We have two young sons who are not always easy to manage at restaurants, so having a place where we can get incredible food, fantastic local beer, seltzers, and wine, and a year-round patio WITH friendly family service is really a godsend for my husband and me. The owners and staff are so kind, and they always offer to help turn on heaters and bring us our food on the outside patio. The patio is enclosed and heated which is perfect even on rainy days, and it’s genuinely beautiful at night with the bistro lights and music. We’ve had romantic evenings here- even with the kids!
The burgers and chicken sandwiches are to die for and the onion rings are really something special. Top that off with kids meals, soft serve ice cream for our 3 year old, amazing funnel cake fries for dessert for my husband and me, and a patio tv for football games, and it’s truly worth every penny. The food is consistently good at any time of day, which is rare these days for most places. The inside atmosphere is beautiful too, with a fireplace and a perfect condiment bar. I sit at work and daydream about the weekend time we will spend at Grumpy’s.
