4 /5 Dan: Ive had a lot of BBQ in my life in many different states, but Im always searching for more!
My wife found this place through word of mouth. Its been on her list for a long time, but we havent had a chance to go since its so far out from the city. Its basically next to Alpine!
We went there around 3pm for happy hour on a Thursday and the place was pretty empty. The bartender came and took our order and she was very attentive. The restaurant has a western vibe with plenty of outdoor and inside dining. They even used butcher paper to make a menu!
We tried a few things from the happy hour menu including the smash burger, fries, and pulled pork sandwich. The burger and fries were excellent, but they were way too salty. The pulled pork was not salted enough but was very tender. It went well with some sauce.
The brisket was a little dry at one end, but was beefy, and had a good smoky flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy, gooey, and cheesy.
The beef ribs were by far the best thing we had though.
Tender, juicy, beefy, savory. Probably the best bbq beef ribs Ive ever had!
Overall I would say this place is worth the drive and the price (we paid about $130). Come hungry!!
