5 /5 Arun K: The Golden Bull is a total Santa Monica gem, stepping inside feels like a time warp in the best way. I first visited about 15 years ago, and on a recent return it was wonderful to find the atmosphere still just as classic and unchanged. It is clearly mainly frequented by a local clientele, which only adds to the authentic neighborhood feel. The Cosmopolitan cocktails are phenomenal, and the $35 corkage on wine was great value for our evening. This enabled me to enjoy my PlumpJack Merlot with their delicious filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. We also loved the starters, crispy salads with just the right amount of French dressing, and a very fresh shrimp starter. Service and vibe were spot on from start to finish. Really difficult to find any fault, cannot wait to come back.

5 /5 Creds Curator: This place doesn’t try to reinvent the steakhouse, it just shows you how good it feels when a place gets every detail right. You step inside and there’s this warm, old-school glow, leather booths, dim lights, the low murmur of people settling in for a proper meal. The steaks come out with that confident simplicity, fire, seasoning, nothing extra because nothing extra is needed and the sides hit with the same kind of quiet authority. The bar has its own gravity too. Cocktails mixed with real intent and poured by people who understand pace and presence. Over time, the crowd blends into the atmosphere. Locals, regulars, couples, all celebrating something that matters. All wrapped in the same golden hum. By the time you walk back out toward Channel Rd, you get that rare feeling that some places don’t need to shout to be great, they just let the experience do the talking.

5 /5 eriko p: This is a review for their Happy Hour or "Golden Hour" which is Monday-Friday, 4:00pm - 5:30pm and for a few items from their regular menu. You have the option to sit indoors our outdoors. We chose indoors, which is lovely and cozy with white tablecloths, flowers at each table, and fireplace. The Caesar Salad for $5 was so good, I almost wanted to order another one! I loved the Loaded Potato Skins ( $5) !!! The Calamari was a solid Good ( $10) . My friend ordered a beef Taco( $4) and it was disappointing. He wont order it again. My husband ordered from the regular menu and he loved his Flat Iron Steak with a side of asparagus . We all shared the Smores Casserole ( $14) dessert! I highly recommend sharing this! It comes with warmed up graham crackers! Parking is a bit difficult, but we found parking on the side streets.

4 /5 Jamie Canbolat: Stopped by for some drinks after a day at the beach and came during their Happy Hour special on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. They have a large outdoor seating area which could use a fresh design eye, but what lacked in ambiance made up for in service and food quality. Service was quick and friendly and the food was very tasty and on point with expectations. We had a few margs, burgers and caesar salads, all from the happy hour menu. All were delicious but surprisingly still pricey.

5 /5 F U: Came to celebrate my wifes 27th birthday and everything was just great. Inside was nicely decorated. We got seated right next to the fire place. which was great because it was cold and windy outside. The food was delicious and wonderfully plated. Wifey enjoyed her margaritas with her steak frites and I could definitely go for another bowl of the tomato soup with an order of a baked potato. The service was outstanding and just a great experience overall. I highly recommend this restaurant and MAKE A RESERVATION!!! AND MICHAEL KEATON SHOWED UP LAST MINUTE AND WAS SEATED RIGHT NEXT TO US. WAS TRYING SO HARD NOT TO GEEK! (No I was not going to bother the man for a picture he was having dinner)
