3 /5 Laurel: I’ve been coming to Esteban’s for years, since well before they moved to their new location across the street and it has always been fire. This last time we went it was sadly a very disappointing experience. The service was good, I ordered a super burrito with carnitas and though it was big and looked good it was just so bland. I asked for mild salsa but there wasn’t any salsa in the burrito and the meat just tasted like meat with no seasoning. My lunch companion ordered a bell pepper quesadilla, which also initially looked good until she looked inside to see that there was almost no cheese *see photo* in it so everything inside just kept falling out if it. She didn’t even finish half of it before giving up. I feel bad because I had raved about this place for awhile to convince her to go to lunch there and after our experience I highly doubt we’ll go back. I think this type of inconsistency is what happens to most businesses that change ownership. I’ve noticed over the years that whenever a new owner/s takes over and starts making changes it never ends up being a good thing. I might go one more time just to make sure this wasn’t a one off and will update my review if necessary.
