3 /5 Hayley Di Naso: Not worth the wait, there’s better pasta in LA.
We showed up at 6pm on a Friday night and expected to wait for a table as they don’t take reservations, but after being told we’d be sat in 30 minutes rather waiting over an hour and watching parties of 1-2s be sat at tables for 4-5 ppl. It was clear things weren’t being done efficiently. Eventually we were sat at a table for 2 and a chair pulled up for the third person in our party.
At this point the hope was still high as we had heard amazing things about the food. But alas that was not the case. Don’t get me wrong everything was just fine, but not the BEST.
The fusilli was lacking enough sauce and was almost too spicy to really enjoy and the pesto was bland. Not what we were expecting to say the least.
For the long time, and just okay pasta this was not it.
I’m glad to see they are getting business as the rush never dulled, but I don’t foresee us coming back for more anytime soon. There is better pasta in LA.
