Calico Fish House - Huntington Beach (CA)

4 /5 kevin english: Nice restaurant with a good vibe. The service was great and the location was fun. I had an issue with my blackened mahi mahi, it was somehow way overcooked yet not “blackened”, the fish was very dry. The spicy crab dip was good, it could stand to be a bit spicier in my opinion. The roasted vegetables were excellent as were the mushrooms and my dining partner enjoyed the sea bass. We tried a few different signature cocktails and they were awesome!

The location is perfect...easy to get to and parking is easy as well! Our afternoon lunch couldnt have been more perfect! Thank you Calico Fish House!!!

4 /5 KG: This restaurant has quickly become one of our go-to neighborhood favorites. It’s super convenient for us, literally a 5-minute walk so we usually come here when we don’t feel like cooking at home. The atmosphere is always chill, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and we’ve never had anything less than great service. Most importantly, the food is always fresh. We’ve genuinely never had a bad experience here, which is saying a lot considering how often we come. For this recent visit, we ordered: Calamari – A plate full of just calamari, no fillers! The portion is super generous and it’s perfectly fried. Light, crispy, and delicious. Sweet & Spicy Mango Poke Bowl – My order. The portion is huge! I mostly ate the raw tuna and a few bites of the salad because there’s just no way I could finish it all. Fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced, I highly recommend if you love poke. Calico Cioppino – My boyfriend’s favorite. He orders it often and it never disappoints. Cozy, hearty, and loaded with seafood. If you’re craving fresh, well-prepared seafood in a relaxed setting, definitely give Calico Fish House a visit!
