2 /5 Keith Westfall: The atmosphere on the outside does not look great. Usually this would be a warning but I have been to some Mexican restaurants that had the same issue but put out really great food. Upon entering the atmosphere improved slightly and we were met with a warm greeting. After sitting and looking at the menu, the service started to go down. Chips and salsa were OK but drinks were all canned and / or bottled. My son was trying to clarify his order and asked specifically if the picture on the menu was indeed what it would look like. The waitress seemed puzzled and then agreed; yes. The order was a Mexican style burger and when delivered it was not as pictured. It was missing several ingredients and when questioned, the waitress claimed that they do not make it that way anymore. So he rejected the order. My wife and I tried the Menudo and it was good, nothing special and paid $19 a bowl. The best part was the homemade tortillas, unfortunately their Birrieria was just average. The rice was soggy and over cooked and the beans had a weird earthy type flavor. We asked for refills on chips and salsa and never got them, even after we walked up the empty containers to them. They were not busy, so I can only guess this is how they do business.
