Without being said one should always get to mass early because parking there might be scarce depending on what time you go. Saint Joseph pray for us.

When I lived in San Diego, this was my go-to church. I still haven’t found another one like it since moving to Florida. Happy I can still listen to Pastor Miles preach God’s word online ☺️

Ruth Jones A rustic but beautifully appointed Mission in the heart of Mission Valley. The main sanctuary is beautiful with brown, copper hues all around. The grounds around the church are full of information and immaculate. Theres a lovely fountain in the middle of the grounds which brings the visitor a wonderful sense of serenity. No problem with parking; lovely place to walk.

Robert Tonsati The first californian mission founded by St. Junipero Serra. A wonderful and calm place, full of history. The Basilica is beautiful, the cell/house of the first friars is very interesting, convent and gardens are very nice. They also have a lovely museum and great souvenir shop. Im so happy for visiting this place.

Paul Dal "Fresh. Real. Powerful" , Ive been attending Awaken Church for 4 years now and my life has truly been transformed. Just like those three words, every sermon is fresh, you wont hear the same message preached twice (unless you jump to different campuses) , its real and raw as the speakers are transparent, and powerful because the Word of God is preached and has the power to shift hearts, break bondages, and transform lives. I grew up Catholic and never knew what a true relationship with God looks like. I can keep on, but heres just a gist of it :). If youre on the fence, just go and experience it for yourself, bless!

Brian Grandis I love the music and the TED style talks. The musicals are unbelievable!! Becky and John are hilarious! Also the owners are amazing. I don’t like that SOME of the pastors act like “celebrities” with big egos and feel they should be treated that way when approached. Couldn’t fit in in connect groups and sit alone, was shamed by several pastors when i tried to explain my problem. They did more talking than listening. I still attend and know I’m blessed by God for going.

Sarah Brown Grace Church is family. I love the house church model of mid-week community and doing life together. We are a missional church and always have Biblically-based, Christ-centered sermons. I started over not knowing anyone in this area and it has become a family where I feel seen and loved. The Young Professionals group is fabulous for anyone new in town and there are a lot of young families here!

Trent Nadelen Awesome Non-denominational church. Full of Grace and Truth. I am a single dad of three boys under 12 and from the first minute I stepped on their campus their staff was so gracious and helpful. Offering to take my boys to thier area so I could grab a much needed coffee before service. Wendell , the youth pastor, was incredibly hospitable and even followed up with me via text. Jerry the Lead Pastor stopped by to shake my hand and welcome me. Went back a second time and I have been going through some things as we all do. Just when I needed it Veronica came and introduced herself and took me to Associate Pastor Toby who prayed with me on the spot. A man named Mike saw that happening and came right up offering his words and special message he felt lead to give. Words can not express how much I needed that support today. I know where my tithe is going. This church and its members are the real deal. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

Abraham Cheung I attended Lighthouse Bible Church for six years. Im so thankful for the leaders and the members for constantly holding fast to the truth of the gospel! At the end of the six years, it was hard to leave the church. (I moved away to begin graduate school.) I definitely miss the teaching, fellowship, common heart for evangelism. I still look back with thankfulness and joy. Praise God for an awesome 6 years. I wouldnt have it any other way.

Chuck Cav5 Church (Business), Pastor has compassion for others, but zero for his neighbors. He is so proud of building an 8 story, zero lot line, death trap next to our two story condo. What happened to the much small Seniors building. Greed comes at a price, and I hope he pays it someday. Tax these business churches.

Frank OConnor Pastors Jared Herd and Josh Hotsenpiller always gives messages that are really applicable and easy to put into practice and follow. Always encouraged! The people seem nice. It’s a large church so to meet people, you’ll have to get involved with a ministry. Good thing that there seems to be a lot of those here! Biblically sound church with great music. Parking can be challenging. Living in the San Diego area, I had driven by the church building on the 15 for years. But it wasn’t until I moved out of state that, facing isolation and loneliness, I started listening online to the church weekly. And through those difficult times, my faith really grew and was challenged and instructed through the messages. So upon moving back to the area, when I decided to find a new church, I came back to The Church at RB. And what a great decision it was. The teaching is authentic and fresh and personable. The services are always ones you leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I’d definitely invite you to come see the great work of God going on here!

Jasmine Wilson Captivate Church is absolutely awesome. Everyone at Captivate is so welcoming, friendly, and welcoming. I love Captivates focus on building friendships and community. The family atmosphere is so nice. They even serve free coffee, donuts, and lunch every week after services. All of the pastors are truly gifted and insightful. Juan Luis Gutierrez In my quest to visit every Catholic Church in San Diego county I attended mass here. So far, it has the best paintings of our Religions history. This is an amazing church to pray. Very close to Down Town, in Little Italy. Plenty of free parking.

Viva Yoyis Its been almost 20 years since I attended this church, and its still as wonderful. Looks like the murals were cleaned or updated since 2019 (and I dont remember the mosaics on the floor) and its just stunning. Where there was once a small parking lot and tiny shop, theres now an outdoor seating area with tv for overflow (or taking your pups to church). Theres s tiny statue of Mary in the curb, Also, really enjoyed Fr Josephs sermon, so direct, impactful, honest, and funny.

Annie Poore The grove church has the best bible-based teaching I have ever heard. I attend every Sunday and when I cant, I watch online so I dont miss anything. The people here are so welcoming and outgoing, it makes it so fun and easy to get connected and get involved. I have especially loved their childrens ministry. I have three kids and they LOVE going to their classes and Cara, the director is so great! She communicates so well and is so caring about our kids and family! I would highly recommend this church to anyone looking to get connected and deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Allison Rowe We have been at Grove Church for over twelve years! Such a great spiritual community. We felt welcomed from the beginning and have not left since. My husband and I love the pastors, staff, sermons, growth groups and worship. We especially love the childrens ministry. Our children always look forward to kids club on Friday night and childcare on Thursdays during growth groups and going to their classes on Sunday mornings. The childrens ministry leaders and volunteers have always shown their love for Jesus and to our children and as a parent thats what I am looking for in a great childrens program. A great church for families and young people alike.
