Anna Marie Since Ive been in Napa, this has been the church I chose to go to, coming from Vallejo and being a part of the St. Basil community. This is the only Catholic church Ive attended since moving to Napa. Ive always felt good vibes when entering this church. Ive parked in the front some days feeling some type of way, just wanting to be in the presence of the church. Cant explain it, but it makes me feel good. Their prayer rooms with the statues are beautiful. Since the shelter in place that started due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ive watched mass online on their social media platform (Facebook). I watched Palm Sunday mass online and was able to drive through their parking lot to place a donation and pick up palm leaves. Then, again, for Easter Sunday, I was able to watch mass on social media, and again, drive through their parking lot to make a donation and received a candle.

mymother thestar What an absolutely beautiful, peaceful church. The Crucifix and its background are stunning, as is the imposing banner featuring John the Baptist. It has been a long time since I’ve attended a Mass with four altar servers and a deacon, in addition to the priest. It was an all-around pleasant and prayerful experience for this visitor from Florida.

Dawn Dodino I moved to Napa in 2013 and left a church that I didnt think could be replaced. I was right, I tried and tried many different churches throughout the years and none made me feel like I belonged. Fast forward to 2021. The pandemic left its mark on so many people and so many ideals (especially around the church and gathering). I knew I needed help so in May of 2021 I decided to check out the Celebrate Recovery(C/R) at First Christian Church (FCC) on Tues. nights. I truly felt welcomed and decided that I wanted to keep attending C/R. I was invited to another church in the area for Sunday worship by someone that I had met in a phone conversation so I went to this church the next Sunday. No one greeted me, and I had to introduce myself and tell them I was new before someone came to lead me around and talk to me. Not a problem for me but if I was a shy new Christian, I know that I would have left. I did mention this to that pastor just because I think it was important for them to know. First impressions really do matter. I decided that the next Sunday I would try FCC. I loved the C/R, and many of the people there were regular attendees at FCC so I figured it was definitely worth the effort. When I got to FCC Sunday morning I was greeted by a very sweet and smiling Connections Ministry Leader who gave me a gift and set me up with connections to the church. The worship was amazing, the kids and family ministry was so terrific and truly caring, the Pastor was so "on Point" and the congregation was open and friendly. Like any family though, they are not perfect, but they try their best to love like Jesus and truly that is all that matters to me. We are all beautifully broken and when we can fit in a place where that is accepted, where we feel we can heal and not have to live up to some "perfect" standard, then we are able to let Jesus heal us. I truly feel this is a place of healing and love. From the C/R to the Sunday sermons it is all about Jesus and fellowship. Thank you FCC for being faithful and honest to our Lord and Savior Jesus! I will never find a church to replace the one I left in 2013 but I found a church in FCC that is as honest and caring in their faith as my old home church. I am very happy to call FCC my home church. Are they perfect? No. Is any human or establishment? No. Do they love well? Yes, and that is truly all that matters to me.

Dennis Snyder It was less church and more town hall meeting meets poetry night at a coffee house. I appreciate the message and sentiment but I go to church for communion with God not someone elses sexuality. That is none of my business. Great concept bad execution. And also, spring for a band, that karaoke nonsense was laughable.

Matthew Ronconi As you approach the church you will be welcomed by people with giant welcome signs jumping up and down. It’s a shame you won’t be welcome once you’re inside if you use a guide dog. If you are blind and require a guide dog they will NOT let you in the sanctuary. You will be forced to stay in the lobby like a second class citizen. I was escorted out of the sanctuary like I had broken the law. It was incredibly embarrassing. I traveled 3 hours to be present for my niece’s baby dedication and they would not let me be in the sanctuary. I politely asked the man who escorted me out ‘what would Jesus do’ and he snickered at me. So if you’re blind and require a guide dog for your mobility I recommend finding a different church. It’s probably for the best. If a church is more concerned about getting dog hair on the carpet or the incredible inconvenience of a guide dog sleeping at the feet of a blind person rather than allowing people to hear God’s word maybe they need to follow Jesus’s teaching a little more closely. Guide dogs are NOT “service dogs.” They are Guide Dogs for the Blind. @The Father’s House- it’s time to change your policy.

H.E. M. I and my family have attended Grace Church for years and believe following Jesus and teaching God’s Word is the foundation of this fellowship where anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with God can come and be fed. Children’s church is also excellent. Veritas Christian Academy Middle School meets there and is connected with First Christian where Pre-School thru Elementary School meets. Great Community outreach.

H.E. M. I have grown spiritually so much through the Biblical teaching at Cornerstone Ministries, Napa Valley. I have attended since 1995 and have this thing to say about their leadership, they genually love people, they genually love Jesus and Gods Word. They believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and are careful not to put personal or emotional experiences above what God teaches us in His Word. The worship is Spirit filled and the teaching is Spirit led. Im so thankful to God for this church family and their commitment to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. This is why I can rate them with 5 stars.
