Kai Pottenger New Story is the real deal when it comes to partnership with other ministries and serving God joyfully. The congregation and staff at New Story are incredible people who are willing to go the extra mile to help. We hosted a ministry fundraising event for Cru, a college ministry, here about a week ago. They helped coordinate the facilities, audio/visual, and everything we needed to make the event go smoothly. After the event, we needed some extra help cleaning up and getting things back to how they were. At 10:30 at night Pastor Blake was still working hard to help us out after being there for hours and then two of the young adults who had finished up a missions meeting came and helped us clean up. I felt so cared for and served. It was a sweet picture of the body of Christ coming around each other.

Dru Peebles I needed to find a good Church in Los Angeles. I google searched Church Near Me that teaches the true word of God. Core Church LA popped up. I remember I have heard pastor Steve preach on 95.5 KKLA. So I call my mom and ask her what is the best church to go to in Los Angeles? She tells me go to the Chruch that Steve Wilburn pastors. She said I have heard him on the radio and I remember his name it sounded familiar. I look up his name and Core Church LA pops up the same church that was first in my google search! I’ve been reading the Bible for the past 14 years. I was stuck half way in the book of revelations and stopped reading the Bible for a little time maybe 2-3 years. So when I first came to Core Church it was in 2019. I am instantly greeted by the most awesome family of Christ you can imagine instant fellowship and welcome arms. I sit in the service and guess what Pastor Steve is preaching in the book of revelations in the exact same chapter that I stopped reading at in three years ago. I followed through with him through the whole study of the book of revelations and that was the Holy Spirit signifying to me this is the church you need to be in! Not only did I finish reading revelations but I understood what it meant and God has been revealing His word incredibly to me now. After I finish reading revelations I started reading the old testament because I started in the New Testament first and I will have finished reading the whole Bible cover to cover by the end of this year. I promised God I would read the Bible before He would come back and it could be any day now so pick up the word of God the Bible your armor from God Himself come to Core Church and get filled up with the Holy Spirit and let’s spend eternity in heaven together rejoicing and celebrating with our father Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I plan on reading the Bible every year for the rest of my life now every morning when I wake up fellowship with the Lord. This church will help you grow in the Lord God bless you all and see you at church!

Masi Doug (Sunshine Innovations) We loved the video documentary/interview on TBN, about their visiting those who just lost their home to the most devastating fire event ever to happen in our country. LA is burning up in many parts. We will seek out who to send supplies as needed in many shelters. Easy to clean items like pillows. Inflatable pillows with water bottle holders can come in handy. Lots of drinking water is needed as well.

Anya Fyodor "A healthy church changing lives through Christ." Haha nope. Not a healthy place. A better title would be : A church lead by a young generation of wannabe Christ-followers trying their best to cater to the Elites in Los Angeles to promote their brand of Christianity" This is a Very Industry - Focused Church because the lead pastors pride themselves on them being able to disciple well known actresses, actors, etc. If you are not a holder of some kind of title then you will never get into small groups let alone invited anywhere. Felt like such a lonely place from the several years I spent at City Market Social & LA River Studios. One of the lead pastors actually yelled at me one morning cause I did not do something right when setting up. Their spies followed me home several times and became passive aggressive when I reported it. I served their on teams several times and no one on staff and none of the lead pastors couldnt even be bothered to visit me when I was very ill in the hospital ( I actually was visited by other churches haha but none of these fake christian barbies). What a fake place with very fake presence - focused Narccissistic lead pastors. If you dont have a title then you are simply not worth being discipled or pastored. I noticed that in the way they treat people with titles in the industry who attend their services. Found a much more supportive church community on the other side of town. Enough promoting these toxic LA church environments they have nothing to offer but Christ fans (not followers) with a touch of Narcissism.

James Colon Gorgeous. A spectacle to see in the heart of LA. very impressive exterior architecture, interior design equally impressive. A site to taken even for the non-church going experience, just an appreciation for design and principles.

Janet Tuble This stunning church in downtown LA is a true gem; the brothers singing is absolutely divine, making the mass very solemn. The church closes after mass and everyone must vacate.

Ti K Upon visiting my daughter, I attended church with her. I thoroughly enjoyed the service and the word of God from Pastor Julian. The congregation is electric. I watch the service online on YouTube every Sunday from Texas.

Jesus Magallon We recently had our daughter’s baptism at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Olvera Plaza, and it was a beautiful and memorable experience. The ceremony was heartfelt and the service provided by the church was truly lovely. One special touch we appreciated was the free printed image of the ceremony that they included—it made for a meaningful keepsake. That said, there are a few important things to be aware of. Parking is very limited in the immediate area, so we ended up parking at Union Station and walking over, which took about 10 minutes. Make sure to arrive early, just like we did, especially because you are required to check in about an hour before the ceremony. The cost of the baptism was $180, and if you want professional photos, expect to pay extra for those. Despite these logistics and added costs, it was a great overall experience, and we’re thankful for the warm and welcoming environment the church provided.

Jay Vale This was my second private baptism, and both experiences have been exceptional. The first was in 2021, and the second was today. Both services were incredibly special, and I cant thank the team enough. Todays service was conducted by Rev. Corral. My son was woken early, fell asleep in the car, and was hard to wake up again, so he wasnt exactly in the mood for the ceremony. But Rev. Corral was so patient and accommodating, even allowing my older son to join in the ceremony. I often gripe about the price, but honestly, its so worth it. Having my family together, able to enjoy the ceremony in their own way, is truly a blessing. Thank you so much, Rev. Corral – you made this experience a pleasant experience for a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. Our entire family enjoyed the ceremony.

Justin Kwan Visited our friend Pastor Phyllis and really like the family feel with the couches. The kids stayed in service this week. They are intentional with group discussion and I appreciate that as someone who promotes active learning. All the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Very diverse.

Nancy Blackman My husband and I have been attending New City Church for about six years ever since it was in the beginning days. As a bi-racial woman I appreciated the diversity of ethnicity and socioeconomic, but more important than that the gospel is presented in sermon, action and presence. New City has offered me community in a way that I have never experienced and I have seen this church go from 20 people to about 400. I told my husband when it reached 100 I would be ready to leave. Ok. Im still there and not planning to leave anytime soon. No church will offer you 100% satisfaction, but New City offers sermons based on the Word, the gospel upheld and a dose of reality to bring you to your knees. This is my home.

Jeanne’ S Beautiful church with a lovely congregation. I had the pleasure of being present for the Easter Sunday celebration. The production was very well thought out and the performances were a joy to watch. I was surprised, with this being a mega church, to find that there were no parking options available for members or guests. I did notice what I believe to be a gated faculty parking lot behind the church but it was not accessible for anyone else. Most people had to park blocks away or take public transportation. However, the church is conveniently located next to a metro station. I would keep that in mind when visiting.

They truly don’t judge you come as you are. Pastors Jeremy and Christy are the most AMAZING, SELFLESS people our family knows. They will love on you, help you, hear you and be there for you. They have an amazing Kids Ministry with worship Time, snacks and kids love it! NOT all churches take their kids ministry seriously . Fearless has its own coffee shop inside with amazing baristas, friendly and ready to take your order with a smile . Yes parking is horrible but you can park next to exchange la, in front or around for less than $10.00 . OR if you have cash $8.00 in the back, there are many coffee shops and restaurants around so you can enjoy before or after service .

Savannah Aldridge I was looking for a church to visit while on vacation, and I was definitely enticed by the fact that the Enchantment Under the Sea dance from Back to the Future was filmed here. While at the church, I was welcomed kindly and got to participate in worship with a Christ-loving community. I was especially delighted that I had stumbled upon the day of the church picnic and was invited to stay. Through the picnic, I met some wonderful parishioners who really showed me God in a way I didnt expect when I went into church that day. Kathie MC Absolutely shameful that this church is involved in rainbow flags which are NOT in the Bible but has no American Flag. This church is focused on political issues rather than The Word of Jesus. SHAME Shame shame! Would NOT recommend this church, we will not go back. Rebuke this church

Your Traveling Potter I loved it!! I moved from the Inland Empire ( San Bernardino area) and I felt it was HOME. I appreciate the people really worshipping of the King, not the person on the stage. Parking is at a high school with tandem parking, and covered parking. A well organized set up creates a homey feeling in the courtyard. God bless California, and our nation.
