Kristen Adams, Realtor My kids started attending Mt St Mary’s Academy in the Fall of 2020. This was our first introduction to St Patrick’s. When my schedule allows, I sometimes attend Mass on Friday mornings when the school attends their weekly Mass. And, of course some Sunday Mass’ during the year, as well. Over the past year St Patrick’s has gone through some amazing updates. The inside and outside look beautiful! I love Father Estrella’s services. He always adds a personal and funny anecdote to his sermons (I’m Lutheran, hopefully that’s the right term in a Catholic service?). This past Sunday, the choir had an addition of a violinist. I loved that! It really rounded out the musical accompaniment to Mrs Deneen’s beautiful voice and piano playing. Overall, my experience with St Patrick’s has me considering converting to Catholicism. I’ve always felt welcomed and always leave feeling peaceful and ready to take on the week! Oh, and their gardens are gorgeous and we love the social hall for everything from basketball games to graduations!

Yossi The Pastor is a good teacher and the music is good. However, dont care for the coffee shop atmosphere. Most of the people walk in with coffee drinks purchased in the lobby. They are also walking in and out with drinks throughout the service. This appears to be a lack of respect and honor to God. I understand the need to draw in people, but this is disrespectful to the presence of a Holy God.

Maxx Hudec No real basis for a church review as we just go to Calvary for my sons basketball practice. That being said, tons of parking handicapped included. Large outdoor playground area for kids. Full court basketball gym is graciously rented to our rec league for Youth Basketball practice so I cant say anything but great stuff about this place...

Douglas Goose To the point, by THE BOOK church. Great pastor that makes the point of god every Sunday. Congregation is very welcoming and loving. Would recommend this church to anyone that wants to learn the word of God and worship him. No big fancy productions like these big box churches. Just good old fashioned small town faith.

Mark Richey My wife and I have found a home community and family at First Baptist Church of Grass Valley. We were looking for a church where we could have a sense of belonging, grow spiritually, serve God and serve His people. We felt welcome from the first time we stepped in the door 3 years ago. This is no perfect church, since all churches are filled with imperfect people. But, it is a good church, doing good in the surrounding community, training the followers of Jesus to grow by teaching the Bible, supporting and sending missionaries beyond our region of the world, and praying fervently and consistently. I recommend First Baptist Church to anyone who is seeking a local church to call home or who wants to know who Jesus is. I hope to see you there!

Tessa Connelley I am from Grass Valley and while visiting family, my fiancé & I decided to attend a local denomination for our Sunday worship. The church was built in the 1850s and is beautifully preserved and up kept with such care and reverence. It would be difficult to compete with the beautiful and alive history of this building but the worship and its community are just as compelling. They are very kind and you feel welcomed instantly. This church is also Bible based, which I appreciate highly. The sermon taught me some new things and the Rev. was able to give examples from today to really drive home my understanding. If you are looking for a home church or find yourself traveling and wanting a place to worship, this church is a wonderful choice.

Trace Pafford Always solid expository teaching straight through verse upon verse. I am not in Grass Valley any longer, but if youre looking for solid teaching and to did deep into scripture then, Pastor Mike is your guy! Pastor Mike is also well studied in revelation. It is a very friendly and loving church.

Colleen Manuola Sincerely friendly people. Larger church, so YOU have to get involved to really make friends. My husband and I started visiting almost 2 years ago. We found that going to events, joining the mens and womens Bible studies and a home group really helped us feel connected. Bible is taught - straight up, no excuses, but with humor. Worship is modern but not loud.

Annie Taranto Really nice Christian bible- based church. Such a wonderful music ministry and I liked the pastor so much...very down to earth with a great sense of humor. I was visiting my granddaughters for a few weeks and used to attend church there so I went back and brought the girls with me to service on Sunday. They loved their teachers in Sunday school. Several people reached out to us and made us feel so welcome. We went back to Wednesday service again because we enjoyed it so much. They had a little dinner and fellowship before service and we connected with several people right away. It was truly a very special place. I honestly, don’t want to go home after meeting these people.

Katie Thieman I love Crossroads Church! Bible teaching church with active groups to help you connect, grow in your faith and serve in our community. Womens weekly bible study is a great way to connect with other women, make friends and learn more about God through better understanding of the Bible. Sundays are the highlight of my week with Pastor Andrew (sometimes Pastor Dane or Pastor Ryan too) clearly and engagingly teaching of the Bible. I also enjoy praising God with beautiful music the worship team leads that really goes along perfectly with the message or passage that day. Theres many helps ministries, small groups, support groups like Divorce Care and ways to connect and get involved. The best part of Crossroads Church is the lovely people Ive met that have welcomed, loved me and who point me to Jesus.
