4 /5 Charlotte T: My sister booked for our girls’ trip to attend the labyrinth masquerade ball. The lobby with cool decor offers fresh water to guests and a small snack bar for purchase. The rooms were cute but a bit dusty, including the air return and the coffee maker. The air unit glass was shattered but working fine. The hot water however was a different story. It’s a tall building that wasn’t at capacity Wednesday & Thursday so our water took awhile to travel to the 9th floor. After my 15 minute shower it still was not HOT as I would like . The weekend was better. So just run the water for a bit before you get in. Also there was noticeable hair in the shower above and around the provided shampoo & after finding and earring under the sink I really questioned their cleaning procedures. Furthermore the couch was noticeably worn. I would recommend to assess and take photos when you arrive to avoid them questioning your deposit. We didn’t have a problem. There is a Starbucks downstairs and a firehouse subs up the block around the corner. One more block over is a larger food court with a great selection and a Target. I recommend El Patron or Dublin’s another block up.

5 /5 Marc: This is a great hotel. The location is very convenient. It is very close to LA Live and so many restaurants. The Metro trains are also a short walk away. All the staff are extremely nice and helpful. My room was a good size, very clean and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure was good enough (much better than most hotels) and the aircon worked well on this hot summer day. There is also a bigger selection of television stations than most hotels. There are even several of the cable movie channels. I had breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor and the staff was very nice and efficient and the food was amazing! I was definitely very pleasantly surprised. Good job Hotel Indigo!

5 /5 ODog: My experience and overall stay at Hotel Indigo downtown LA wasn’t just a great stay, it was absolutely wonderful! When I flew into the city and after a short drive to the hotel I knew I was in for a treat! The positive reviews are definitely a plus and experiencing them after visiting I can definitely agree that that this hotel lived up to my standards and then some! The staff friendly and very accommodating to our needs, and although me and my friend Micah did not end up going to the bar or the restaurant inside the hotel everyone was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy helping their guests (I’ll have to try that out next time). Very happy with the room with a city view, beds were very comfortable and being cleaned daily was a plus! The shower and bathroom felt large enough to make you have the feel at home kind of vibe, and I was just very pleased how much effort management goes into keeping their rooms and guests happy. Not to mention Starbucks literally next door made this stay much more enjoyable knowing I could get a good coffee without even leaving the hotel. Placed in a great spot just not too far from where we ventured out into the city it was very quiet and relaxing, not to mention the pool was lovely…being the only one in the pool past 9:00pm was peaceful with the view above the city, made me feel like yeah…I’m definitely coming back! For real though, this hotel and the staff deserve the 5 star rating. From amenities to the daily housekeeping keeping my room tidy when I was out and about. I will definitely be returning to this hotel, and coming from Boston to LA, only the 6 hours away, makes it definitely worth your stay! Thanks for a pleasant experience, I will be back! - Owen

2 /5 Patz Mayerhofer: We stayed for three nights at Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown. The hotel itself is beautiful – stylish, modern, very clean – and the service was excellent. We felt very welcome at first and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the property. Unfortunately, we left quite disappointed. Despite having already paid for our three-night stay, additional high charges were taken from our credit card without a clear explanation. On top of that, there was a daily $30 facility fee and about $60 per day for parking, which made the stay much more expensive than expected. What was most frustrating was that even after checking out early in the morning at 7:00 a.m., further amounts were still charged. It’s a real shame, because the hotel itself and the staff were truly great. However, the unclear and unexpected extra charges left us with a disappointing overall impression. During our USA road trip, this was fortunately the only hotel where we had such a negative experience.

1 /5 Gregory Campbell: This hotel is very run down! I’m a reasonable guy when it comes to accommodations but charging over $200 a night for rooms that look like a dirty and run down roadside motel is not okay. I’ve stayed in motel rooms on road trips in rural America with nicer rooms than this place. Don’t be fooled by the real estate or slick advertising, this place is a dump! They were very helpful and gave me a refund so I could go stay else wear, but it really put a damper on my vacation and I had to spend more money than I originally planned.
