Irene Abbey Ventura Jubilee Fellowship is a warm, loving group of people who love the Lord and one another. The worship is worshipful; the fellowship is sincere; the Bible teaching is solid. We have a choir and bell choir, womens and mens ministries, and great Bible Alive classes for delving deeper into the Word. It is overall a wonderful church full of people who have servants hearts.

Jay Byam Wonderful group of people very family-oriented But also really nice for single people like me. Great Life Church has wonderful Sunday service. And lots of fun activities like Thursday night bible study. They host fun festivals and car washes and trips for adults and for teens and families. Basically its wonderful fellowship that helps us stay closer to The Lord.

Linda Cantu This church is awesome. Ive been a part of it since the very beginning and it has been cool to see it grow in so many different capacities. The leadership there is dedicated to exalting Jesus Christ and faithfully preaching Gods Word, and we have been doing just that. God has used this church to grow me so much and to do thing I never imagined I would ever do because its all for Him and He helps me to do those things. It has forced me to be reliant on God and depend on the community around me, which hasnt always been comfortable but HAS been good for me. I love all of the leaders--the worship director has a strong philosophy and vision of what worship through music looks like and pursues doing it excellently for the Lord. He works to lead the congregation in unashamed worship to the best of his ability. The childrens director has such a heart for Gospel centered teachings for the kids. Where so many people underestimate kids--she sees that they need to hear about Jesus and follow after Him so she trains and equips and advocated for the kids to have people who are impassioned about Jesus to be in there pointing to Him for the kids. The elders are gentle and yet bold in preaching the Word and helping lead the church in the direction to Jesus, ALWAYS. And the pastor, Pastor Brent is faithful and humble, loving the people there and wanting the best for them, knowing that best is not himself or anyone else...but CHRIST.

Allen Hart I first came to Second Church of Christ Scientist in Ventura in 2009, when my former church - First Church of Christ Scientist, Oxnard - merged with Second Church. At first, I was not too enthusiastic about going to a new church, and I wanted to leave Second Church. But over the years, the Ventura church has been like a family to me - I dont think you could find a nicer group of people anywhere else.

Nancy Winfrey I was glad to be invited to visit this church. Its quite large and heavily attended with 3 services. The message was directly from the Bible and really ministered to me.

E E I went there for the first time today it was a very nice sermon Pastor Tim was amazing however as much as he preaches about Jesus and how he died on the cross for us it would have been really nice to see a cross somewhere hanging on any wall within the church that is my only suggestion that would make perhaps the church feel more like a church. The coffee and refreshments were nice but as I said the only thing missing was a cross.

Lisa Max well WOW!!! THE SINGING IS LIKE YOUR AT A CONCERT. Truly. Everyone must experience it at least once. I went with a dear friend, who has since past. but I still go because. I know God and this. Church brings you back wanting to know more. The family feeling of friendship. the casual attire and the wonderful times church starts. And ITS NOT BORING. to where you fall asleep in sermon. Come try it once at least. See for yourself.
