NoeHill Webmaster This Gothic Revival church was built from local, welded andesitic tuff with walls that are two feet thick. (Tuff is a rock created by volcanic eruptions.) Construction began in 1883 but was not completed until 1910. It is the oldest church in Alturas and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Church is very big And well cared for. I was baptised There. Services start at 10am. Sunday school @ 11am. Priesthood Study 12am. Visitors welcome.

Satorizero Had a very displeasing interaction with the very much older lady outside who was sweeping the leaves up in the parking lot. She was extremely rude and negative, almost demonically possessed based on her immediate words and energy she put out towards me. Im a very spiritual person, I dont attend this church, I simply walked up and kindly asked if I could take some of the overwhelming amounts of leaves outside for a community compost im creating here in Alturas. I dont mind the hateful "no" she stated, its her behaviour im writing about. Her behavior im sure does not reflect this church and I will promptly change my rating to 5 stars after she has been addressed about her behavior to the public. (I tried calling and never got an answer)
