1 /5 Christine Culletto: Updating my review from 2 stars to 1: I decided to terminate my membership at this gym after getting blatantly hit on twice by one of the desk staff. Not only would he hit on me, but he would conveniently end up in the same rooms as me shortly after I entered the workout areas, seemingly not doing anything. I had never experienced the same behavior from another desk staff, and it made me very uncomfortable. After going through the cancellation process on their website I didnt receive a confirmation email which made me suspicious. After calling one of their gyms today I found out that youre apparently not supposed to cancel online even though its a clearly stated option and that I will need to cancel over the phone. The representative told me that I needed to give 15 days notice before the next billing cycle in order to not be charged. I just received my termination agreement and it states that they need 30 days notice prior to next billing date - so which is it? This place is a joke.
Original post: I’ve been a member of this gym for about 6 months now and here’s what I’ve noticed:
Out of all of the gyms I’ve belonged to this one is the most frustrating. As others have mentioned, it’s run down with a poor layout design. The gym itself smells very musty, no matter what time of day you’re there. Now that it’s summer, the AC is on very inconsistently (it’s off more often than it’s on) which needs to be addressed for the safety of their patrons. Also, for some reason, the class instructors love having the door wide open while they blast music and yell to hype everyone up. When I’ve had a long day and I’m at the gym trying to get some “me” time, it’s one of the last things I want to hear. Close the door! For the price of the membership, this gym isn’t worth it unless you can’t travel elsewhere.
