3 /5 Michelle V: I’d like to share my experience as a newcomer to the area, hoping to find a welcoming space to practice. After reaching out to sign up for a trial, I was asked to fill out a credit card authorization form and email it back. As someone who works in cybersecurity, I’m acutely aware of the risks involved in sending sensitive data like credit card information over email, where it’s vulnerable to interception or unauthorized access if accounts aren’t fully secured or managed properly.
When I requested an alternative method to share my information more securely, I was disappointed to receive no response at all. If Im being vulnerable and honest, it felt really discouraging that simply asking for a safer option led to being ignored, especially having just moved here and not knowing anyone. While I recognize this is a yoga studio where we practice love and compassion, its unfortunately still a business where monetary energy is exchanged, and thus, as a business, it should prioritize both customer safety and communication as that is also a loving and kind practice.
Ultimately, I hope this feedback encourages the studio to consider more secure practices for handling client data and to improve the responsiveness to new clients. These small changes could significantly enhance client trust and make for a more kind and supportive experience for everyone seeking to join the community.
Sending love and light ♡
