The Arcata branch (our home branch) staff always has a smile and an answer for any of your banking questions. A manager almost always comes out to make sure everyone is taken care of and happy. We also like their dog of the month program - it lends a personal touch.

1 /5 Meghan Riley: I had a business account with Redwood Capital for a few months. Everything was going well. Everyone was kind to me. I even brought in my dog to brighten their day. Then I set up my store front. I was using my bank account often and my card was shut down (with plenty of money) 10 times in a 30 day period. The tenth time I called in I lost my cool. I wasnt very nice to the teller I spoke with. When I spoke to the manager, I was honest and took responsibility for my anger. The manager went on to chide me for how I had treated her employee. I am glad there are managers out there who stand up for their employees. And my card was shut down 10 times in 30 days. No one tried to help me, fix it or showed any compassion for how stressful that might be when your putting together a storefront. My account has been moved to Coast Central and I am much happier. Do not recommend.

1 /5 martin adam: This place is run by a bunch of Karens & Chads!! They had my VEHICLE TOWED cause I went to help some people traveling from Jamaica get out of the rain.. Do not do business here!! Unless U want to support these PREJUDICE people!!

1 /5 Keyboarders Humboldt: Bringing my money here was a mistake. A very kind woman named Alejandra was extremely helpful, informative, and kind. Unfortunately, the manager (I do believe her name was Karen) got overly emotional when she eavesdropped on my convo to her teller that they could use more training on knowing the difference between a small loan, and an HELOC. She got so emotional she literally closed my account, lol. A larger bank wouldve handled this scenario a lot differently. That said, small banks like this may be fine for simple arrangements, but I would not count on them for anything important. And I suggest Karen takes a vacation to ease her nerves.
