5 /5 Kai Duchaine: LOVED IT HERE, I ultimately didnt sign up but out of all gyms I tried this one was amazing. The layout was abstract but actually such a vibe, the class schedule was huge, and I dont think Ive ever taken a better shower in my life. For 300$ I think more amenities would justify the price but if youre taking enough classes it pays for itself.

He didn’t just help me register—he supported me every step of the way, even after I became a member. No matter what day or time I reached out, Raymond responded promptly and respectfully. His level of care and attention is what every customer service experience should be. If I had to name one reason why I’m committed to staying with Equinox, it’s Raymond. He’s a total star, and Equinox is lucky to have him!

Helen Menasche: Santa Monicas best kept secret. If you asked me 6 months ago that Id go to the gym every day AND enjoy it, Id think you were CRAZY! Before Fitstop, I never lifted a barbell in my life. The atmosphere is so welcoming to all levels, and I cant believe the progress Ive made (with no short cuts). The excellent coaches (S/O to Johnnie and Semaj) make sure you are doing movements the right way to avoid injury but also to make sure to properly strengthen the correct muscles. You rarely work out alone and partners help keep me going. The team/group aspect plus the incredible, well-vetted trainers makes this the best gym! It doesnt hurt that the facility is clean and rarely crowded. Two huge bonuses: ▪︎Plenty of free parking in the lot, not street parking! ▪︎Fitstop is on ClassPass.

Fouad Alkisswani: Let me first say this is primarily a fitness facility - a role performed exceptionally well. Firstly, they have a sauna and steam room unlike Equinox, John Reed, and FRD, which are about double in price. Plus, a huge pool, spaces to get work done, a basketball court, a litany of classes and a great location right across from Santa Monica Main Library. My mom (who lives in VA) gifted me a membership and the online process was seamless as was final in-person registration for me. One gripe; however. We paid for a dedicated locker and it took me a day to buy an actual lock. When I went to put it on my locker, someone was using the locker. I went to the front desk and they said "just wait for whomever it is to leave." Feedback indicating that a best practice is to indicate day lockers from paid permanent lockers (all gyms Ive ever been to clearly indicate that) fell on deaf ears. They were nice; however, in how they said "we dont care." For

Ellie Pannor: I have been a Rowhouse member for over 3 years and love this gym in general. I have had nothing but awesome experiences here in terms of both working out and the community of friends and coach friends I’ve built. So 5 stars, in general. In terms of coaches, Sara and Maggie are top notch. These wild ladies will push you to the limit and encourage you to keep going when you need it most and make you feel so powerful and strong both physically and emotionally. I just finished a Saturday class that Sara coached and I am exhausted in the best way. She coached “full row“ the way it SHOULD be coached. Non-stop, crazy INTENSE workout. I feel like not a minute was wasted and I got everything out of today that I possibly could have. I’m leaving the gym feeling SO strong. Absolutely looooove!

She is a knowledgeable trainer herself as well as a hands on administrator in the fitness business for many years.I have witnessed her immediate responsiveness to members and ability to competently address their needs. The club itself provides a wonderful, clean, space with amenities. I am glad to have found this gym after the closure of the Palisades Bay Club. 1/18/2025
