Relentless Fitness - Modesto
Seth Abad: I liked the gym and the equipment. However, pricing for visitors is extreme. I’m here visiting family on leave from the military and they wanted $120 for ten days for me and my wife. *Edit* Save yourself the time and just go to Barbell Alliance.
Barbell Alliance - Modesto
Chris Singh: Been a member for almost 2 years now and safe to say, this is the best powerlifting gym in Modesto. They have all the equipment you’ll ever need, from stiff bars, IPF approved bars, to even deadlift bars. Several rogue kilo plates, Dumbbells varying from 5lbs to over 125+lbs I believe. Several high quality cable machines, and body building machines for your accessory lifts as well. They also have 4 different deadlift mats with such an amazing and welcoming community so its easy too meet new people and workout in a friendly environment. Don’t be afraid to ask anybody questions, because Im sure everyone is willing to help each other out. That’s what makes the gym so great, amazing equipment, but most importantly an amazing community.
Planet Fitness - Modesto
Planet Fitness
ava: Planet Fitness is a great starter gym and I have enjoyed coming here! At first I was intimated but a worker name Julie was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Julie has to be one of the best workers there! She helped me with figuring out the machines, my form , and what to eat. Whenever I walk in she is always flashing a smile and providing a nice and safe environment. Thank you to Julie for being such an amazing worker! I hope planet fitness will realize how amazing she is and give her a raise!

Adriana Laiton: I wanted to take a moment to say that I really enjoy being a member of In Shape the facilities are great. However, I’ve noticed that some members wear street clothes like sweatpants and tennis shoes into the humid areas (such as the sauna/steam room/pool area). This raises some hygiene concerns, as these areas are meant to be clean and sanitary for everyone’s health and comfort. I wanted to share this feedback in the spirit of maintaining the high standards that make the gym such a great place. Perhaps a reminder of the dress code or hygiene policy in those areas could help. Thank you for your attention, and again, I really do appreciate the overall experience at the gym.
The Performance Lab - Modesto
Y O: This gym was soo fun back in its heyday. I first joined in 2021 and the coaches were so supportive, inspiring and supportive. The atmosphere was just unmatched, I took a break (looong one) and came back in May 2025. Pretty much all coaches were gone, only Brett and a new coach were there. Vic was still there but the vibes were different, classes were smaller. Just wasn’t the same as it once was, the workouts were still difficult but I just noticed the gym wasn’t what it was. Now I see Brett is leaving, I wonder what will come for the new TPL. Their og staff were such gems. I miss this place, the older tpl.

Enclave Training Club - Modesto
Jeffery Bettincourt: I’ve been coming to this gym for two years now, and it’s truly become one of the most important spaces in my life. From day one, it felt like a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place—a community that supports and lifts you up. The coaching is incredible; even in group settings, it feels personal, like you’re getting one-on-one attention. The access to nutrition guidance, planning that feels personalized, and real-time feedback has helped me grow not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. What sets this gym apart is the community. I’ve made some of my closest friendships here—genuine, deep relationships that go far beyond just working out. This place has been a mind, body, spirit, and soul journey for me. If you’re looking for more than just a workout, this is the place!!
Curves - Modesto
Jessi Bohn: My coach at CURVES is just wonderful!! I have a very busy full schedule and of course the easiest thing to skip out on is my workout. She is the first to remind me that making time for myself is bettering myself!! If I feel good, going that extra mile for the people in my life is a breeze!
Orangetheory Fitness - Modesto

The Camp Transformation Center - Modesto
Eduardo Angulo: In January this year I started the camp 301 lbs. Hadn’t worked out in maybe 16 yrs. Jogging or running hadnt been done since my 20’s so my legs felt like stone when I tried jogging. I came to camp thinking people would look at me nasty and think I was fat but that was not the case at all. They encouraged me and pushed me to do more and helped me believe in getting it done. In 6-7 months I lost 103 lbs. Not only exercising but also going by their meal plans. I ate healthy and worked out a lot. I’m greatful for the Camp and the coaches who believed in me.
