1 /5 YuvRaaj Madra: This has been a very frustrating experience. My previous Gym closed so I had to find a new one. I signed up online via the Anytime Fitness website with Anytime Access to my local gym. I am in Business & work Monday - Saturday, 8am - 6pm sometimes even later. I have an extremely busy schedule, & am often traveling. After signing up and paying the dues I downloaded the app to activate the key fob via phone feature. The app mentioned I have to contact the local gym, so I did. They didn’t answer, I left a voicemail. I get a text shortly thereafter inviting me in. They state I have to come in during their work hours prior to activating my app, and do not state why. I advise that due to my schedule and their short office hours this is not possible, and that I am happy to call in, video in, whatever but I can only visit the gym at night or early mornings and that is when I work out. Following day, I receive the same text again from a different team member with no explanation and so I state the same answer again. I have not heard back in 2 days. They have collected my dues but I am unable to go workout. I called 24hr fitness (just to ensure I am not being unreasonable) and they can absolutely oblige and stated they have many professionals in the same situation so they are understanding, and mention that a remote activation is possible in today’s day and age. Same as I did with my previous gym. I am not sure why Anytime Fitness is being so difficult. All I want to do is give them money and come work out at “Anytime”. I have now used up 3 days of my Anytime Fitness membership but unable to actually use it Anytime.
