2 /5 Thao Nguyen: I took my dad here yesterday to transfer the name to the new car he just bought. The staffs working at the front desk and DMV were super nice and friendly. Everything was finished very fast.
After that we decided to see an insurance agent to ask for the cost of the policy if we are to add the new car to our existing policy. I told her that we would like to know how much its gonna be if we remove one car from our policy and then add the new car. She advised us to keep that car until February 2026, otherwise the cost would go up because my brother still has a point on his record. I feel appreciated for her advice. So I asked her to please give me an estimate of how much its gonna be if we keep the old car and add the new car. She asked me if I wanted to include the OEM for that car? I translated everything to my dad and he said yes. After that she gave us the total cost for the 4 cars. Then I thanked her and told her that we would come back next time when we are ready to purchase the insurance for the new car. She then asked me "so you want to remove the new car?" I was confused because from the beginning we just wanted to ask for the cost and then we will make decision later.
She gave us an attitude, aggressively turned the computer to my face and asked me to check if everything was correct. She even asked her coworker, Ivy Luong, to ask my dad if we really want to remove the new car from the policy in Vietnamese. Ivy translated to her that we just came to ask for a quote. The agent blamed me that "earlier I asked and you said yes" and something along the lines of "next time ask for a translator to make everything easier for everyone" as if we were wasting her time. So is that how you treat your customers if they just come to ask for a quote? We have been a customer for almost 10 years and paid no less than $10,000 each year on the policy. I was so mad. Unfortunately I dont know the name of the agent but she had big round eyes and half of her brows were shaved.
