Andia Katz Kirby is amazing! The best hairstylist Ive ever had the pleasure of going to. She is an amazing person, so kind, and also gives the most amazing haircuts! She always takes the time to listen to exactly what I want and always keeps my lines super straight since half of my head is shaved. Plus someone that can cut my hair and also shave my head is amazing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Sara Jo Wolf Ive been getting my haircut and colored with Kirby for 2 years now. She is super sweet and I totally trust her to do a beautiful job with my hair. Kirby takes the time to really listen to what kind of cut/style I am wanting and creates a comfortable relaxing space while she does my hair. I feel super cute and rejuvenated after I go to see her. Super happy I found her!

KarrieandLisa Conversations Kirby is a delight to work with ! She does a wonderful job on my hair. I have thick, curly- wavy hair and she has helped me with cuts that compliment my hair type and has guided me on my ideas of color. I am always super pleased with the results and honestly my hair looks good even a couple months after my color session, like a very natural looking grow out. Kirby is also lots of fun to talk to during my time in her chair!

Jill Haworth Shelby is amazing. I can text for an appointment. She is waiting when I arrive and has the softest touch of any hairdresser Ive ever seen. Im so glad to have found this shop!

Crystal Escobar I got my haircut with Samantha yesterday. Ive got to say, I always had little to no interaction with previous hairstylists and sat there awkwardly but Samantha was so friendly and funny I felt like I was talking to a friend that I havent seen in years. Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair, she also answered all my questions and gave me good suggestions for hair products to use. I will most definitely be coming back to her for future cuts.

Laura Martin I get my nails done from Debbie & absolutely love them every time! She’s so lovely that I look forward to seeing her as much as I do to be getting my nails redone. I have tried other services as well and have never been disappointed. Definitely my favorite nail salon in the area that I have tried.

Rose E. Dana While it may be hard to get an appointment, its worth the wait. I have been going to Clairissa now for 8 years. She is the best. She listens, and is truly an artist. I have had short hair and long hair, and she always cuts my hair just how I imagine, even though I may have a hard time explaining.

Leanne Wallace Very pricey. Wonderful atmosphere good group of women. First time I went there everything went well but very expensive. Second time I went there walked out with orange roots. Called next day to speak with Salon expert that worked on me offered to give me my money back but I didnt want my money back I wanted her to fix my hair. She said there was nothing she could do about it because it would ruin my hair if she did more highlight. Ask me to wait 2 months and then she will add more highlights like I want. Concerned that she would over process my hair. My last hairdresser processed my hair the same way every time and I didnt have a problem with it. Paid less and hair color was beautiful. Would go back to Old hairdresser but she just had a baby. I dont know what to do?

Jessica M This is the perfect friendly little salon that I see people talking about going to their whole life, for multiple generations even, and I can see why. Everyone there is sooo friendly and the whole vibe is so welcoming. I used to see Allie years ago and fell in love with her work, the salon, the Eufora products, and everything about the place! Due to pandemic, life, etc. I stopped going for a couple years and when I finally returned, due to scheduling, I ended up seeing one of their newer stylists, Carmella, and she is amazing too! She spent an entire hour of her valuable time with me just going over exactly what I wanted to do to my hair (which had seen better days). She did everything she could to make sure all the details were just how I wanted and really took the time to listen to me and create a plan to make my hair look the best possible - I just really appreciate all of the time and energy she put into making sure I walked out as happy and confident as can be. My hair looks flawless every time I walk out of here. I’ll never go anywhere else, 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!

Ana Renzi Been a tanning client here for a few years. I live here in McKinleyville but work on the other side of Eureka. I rush to back to McKinleyville as fast as I can to make it to the tanning beds before 5 but they are never open or like today, they were open so I grabbed my things out of the car and walked in and the 3 girls there were like no we are closed. I looked at the sign and says they are OPEN UNTILL 6pm….. There are times I call and no one answers the phone so I can’t find out if I can come in that day either, plus they don’t do appointments. I’m sure no one cares but I’m not coming back.

Katie Pickard Great salon that has it all, including a stand-up tanning booth. Megan Avelar cut my hair, and she did exactly what I asked for. It looks and feels so good! I love it!

Ruby Christine Fabulous local salon. I received a lovely gel mani/pedi. Shannon was friendly, fun and paid close attention to every detail. Shaping and prep was not overlooked (on the mani AND the pedi) as it can be with other places, cuticles lightly and expertly trimmed, callouses cleaned up... all the things! Im picky and LOVE my nails... its about as close to perfect as it gets. Lots of fabulous current colors to choose from as well. The Parlour is easy to book online, the place is CLEAN and well maintained (a rarity imo) with reasonable prices. Will be back! Happy to have found such a great salon!

Tyler Wallin I really enjoy going into The Pressure Shop for my haircuts. Oscar does a great job and pays attention to detail. I have a simple cut, but I have seen him do some really great fades and more complicated styles while I have been waiting for my appointment. Scheduling and payment is super easy through their website. Sam and Oscar always have hold lively conversation with clients. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years I think. I’m excited to see the business continue to grow.

Alexsander Tijerina My girl always tells me I make the back of her neck hairs stand up when I get back from getting a fresh crispy fade from my dude Oscar!! Def worth 5 stars review! Book em up they won’t disappoint.

Kat McLean Bobby did an amazing job on my son’s first haircut in a barber shop! My son had a pretty long mullet and decided last minute he wanted it cut short. He did an amazing fade and my son was so comfortable and relaxed during the whole process (he’s 3). I love how he asked my son what he wanted and the haircut turned out great! We will definitely be going back for his next cut!

California Soul Struggled mightily to find a good barber in Humboldt county. I’ve gotten two top-tier haircuts from Bobby, My son got one as well Highly recommend him. Only barber I’ll go to in Humboldt

Eli Allen This was my first haircut in Humboldt county and Nina did an amazing job! I have curly hair, so I often have a hard time finding the right person to cut it but she completely nailed it on the first try. She is clearly quite experienced and well versed as a barber and I highly recommend her! Her shop is also really cool with a unique aesthetic. If you have curly hair and want it cut right, visit Nina!

Bodhi Nina is an absolute gift to Humboldt. Before I came to Ninas shop I could not find a barber who could cut my hair the way I like. Im used to a certain level of quality cuts that are easily available in places like LA and the Bay Area, but not so much Humboldt (until now of course). I really love that Nina works with you to get you a cut that actually looks good. I cant tell you how many times Ive gone to stylists who just give 5 seconds of "consultation" and give you a rushed botched cut. I cant emphasize enough about the quality of Ninas work. The shop is also a one person shop, which is great for this age of Covid. Small shop means less people in at any given time. The shop is also a wonderful space with great music and great conversation. If youre not going here youre missing out.

Andrew Ive had my hair cut by Nina a couple times, and its been an amazing haircut each time. Easily the best Ive received in Humboldt since I moved here 6 years ago. Ninas shop is always clean with a pleasing aesthetic. Its a small shop, one customer a time, which is ideal during covid. Nina also brings her dog to the shop, the sweetest pup named Brooklyn. I was convinced this is the barbershop for me when I walked in and saw the huge framed Lemmy art piece. Ill be back again this week to get my mop trimmed up. Cant recommend Nina enough! A++

Lynn Sturgis We have been going to Shari for the past six years. She does fantastic with both men’s and women’s hair. She’s very knowledgeable about hair and knows the best products to use.

Ingrid Martin I was travelling and desperate for a hair cut and color - blond highlights and a pixie. I was clear about what i needed. Dena gave me an appointment; i was so happy since my town didnt have services open (covid). The color was AWFUL. Purple, orange, brass mixed from the toner ... She tried putting another brown over it which was ok, worse than when i came in but at least it was like 3/10 vs -50/10. Of course that color washed out in 4-5 days. She was very apologetic. Ok. Told me she rarely does blonds. That might have been helpful to know before she booked the appointment. Then Dena cut my hair. I was on my way out of town and had a schedule I needed to keep. She spent an extra hour trying to fix the color. When i looked at the cut, i was pretty overwhelmed by needing to get on the road, and having horrible color. Only the next day did i realize how badly she cut my hair. Very uneven, including super short pieces. Thinking it was just the color, we agreed to 50% payment. Of course, a few days after i got home, services opened back up and I went to my regular guy. Had to pay him more than what I normally pay him because he had to fix the mess. What a waste of time and money.........

Olivia Fox Shop got busy while I was getting my haircut so I got a rushed cut that I had to fix at home later. Also pretty sure the prices increased so I spent like $73. They did offer that I could come in and get it fixed for free, but I wish they’d just had the time to get it right at first.

Suzanne Abernathy The first time I came I got Naomi and she was really nice and made sure that I was satisfied with my cut. She books out pretty far (I can understand why) so I came back and got another lady. Not as nice but the cut was ok. Came back and had her again and she was rude and made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience to her, barely looked at the picture I showed her and acted like I was being unreasonable. I’ll be looking for a new salon.

Virginia Graziose Lynn is amazing she did a excellent job on my highlights, hair cut,and styling l almost went to sleep in her big comfy chair when she gave me a scalp massage while shampooing. giving me the VIP treatment every time affordable pricing for luxury care ! Her establishment is clean and unique one of a kind from top to bottom pop in say Hi.. l do ! Or look in the window and wave to see her incredible talent for making, finding using, and putting together a collection that will surely be a delight for your eyes. Lynns genuine abilities to give impeccable costumer service make every visit a lasting memory of how precious you truly are.

I go every 4 weeks, and I always leave with with a haircut that gets compliments the next day.

Mystic Gardens Healing LLC Rachel is the only hair stylist and color specialist that I trust with my curly ethnic hair. I travel to see her now because I live out of the area. She tests her own products and only uses the most high quality products that have the least amount of harsh chemical effect on the hair. She also knows how to cut curly hair and color curly hair, unlike anyone Ive ever experienced. Highly recommend Rachel for all your hair needs!

Jay M Rachel is the only person I’ll let touch my curly hair. Her technique is unlike anything I’ve ever seen any other stylist do and she gets the layers right every single time. I look forward to getting my hair cut and re-shaped. And when I go in for a trim, she really does take the bare minimum off the ends. Unparalleled work. I’m a happy repeat customer. I wish I’d found her sooner!

Annalisa Rush Debi Sandoval gives facials at Panache Salon. I recommend giving her services a try. She explains things very thoroughly, asks lots of questions so she knows your needs well, uses natural and organic products, and provides a very relaxing and soothing experience! She gives face, neck and shoulder massage and has a therapeutic feature on the bed as well. My skin feels very soothed, hydrated, and pampered. My skin looks and feels very noticeably better. Angelica K.V Ive been looking for a barber for my man and a barber who actually cuts his hair good. We finally found someone! Gio is amazing and so talented at what he does. He takes his time and really listens to the client on what they’re wanting! He made my man feel very comfortable with him since my man only spoke Spanish:)

Adam Bones I literally never leave reviews but in this case something must be said. I came back about 10 minutes after my original haircut to ask for him to take a little more off the top. The Barber looks me straight in the eye and says " no, I dont want to cut your hair anymore"... Absolutely flabbergasted, I asked " are you serious?" He says yeah because our energy is off and theres all these issues.... Check this out ...First of all, Ive never had a haircut where the barber wont let me look at the mirror at least periodically throughout the cut. About halfway into the cut, I asked to look at it and see where we are at. And then towards the end of the cut I asked one more time to look at the back. Apparently that qualifies as a bunch of issues to warrant the barber saying I dont want to cut your hair anymore and refusing to fix the cut. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and even less character. Would absolutely not recommend.

allan mercer If you call ahead and ask if they have walk-ins they say yes and tell you to come again the next day, just to tell you there booked and there leaving early. Either not enough barbers or just bad scheduling either way overall parents is up of a high class Barber just to be let down and then treated as if you don’t matter after now three times going into the barbershop. Trying to get a hair cut to be turned away 3 times.
