Jennifer Thatcher The PRIM hair extensions are the WORST! I’ve been a stylist 15 years and worn extensions the last 4 years. Worst hair I’ve purchased. I bought it for myself as well as for clients and they were extremely unhappy and as was I. The owner gave us new batches in hopes it was just a bad batch. It was not the hair is just awful. Tangled easily, super frizzy. The color was the only thing I liked about them. The owner refused to refund money and I don’t understand how she thinks these are high quality. I was so disappointed. The owner questioned the products I was using and how I was styling my hair. And like I said I’ve been in business 15 years, and worn extensions 4 years. I wanted to try something local and support small business but was disappointed. In one picture I added another or of extensions (JZ) … you can see the difference in the quality after one move up! NEVER BUY THESE EXTENSIONS! I love some of the girls who work at PRIM! The PRIM extension line is just AWFUL.

Laurie Surabian Prim is a super chic, awesome Salon with simple clean decor, fun music always playing, and complementary beverages! If youve never been, you should totally go! Ive trusted Chelsea with my hair for years, and was so pleased when she joined Prim! She takes beautiful care of my hair and transforms my style to my liking everytime! Everyone is super friendly, quality products used and also for purchase- I have bought shampoo, conditioner, and styling products too! Just good vibes, great stylists, and beautiful hair! I feel super pampered and loved with every visit. Completely recommend this place!

Jenn Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Mariah! She worked magic on my hair, expertly lightening it and eliminating the brassy tones and all my gray hair that had been bothering me for ages. She also gave me the perfect tone and a gorgeous cut with curtain bangs that frame my face beautifully. The whole experience was so relaxing, from the thorough wash to the stunning styling at the end. I walked out feeling like a new person! Mariah is not only incredibly skilled but also so kind and attentive. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch stylist. Five stars all the way!

Kat waterstraat My hairdresser Ny works there. The place is awesome and so is she.

Cea Corr No hair stylist there and the woman that was there had no clue and rude. I will take my business someware else. The hair dresser in the front of that same shopping center was awesome.

Sheila Berry Michael White is an excellent hair care specialist. He is fast, thorough and carries a conversation easily. The staff is long and courteous. It is a joy.

Vanja Spaic Retreat salon has a great team of ladies that care! The salon is spacious and the atmosphere is very relaxing and nice. Amanda (Mandi) works on my hair, and she is amazing. I have long and thick hair, and it took me some time to find the right stylist before I started coloring my hair. I am so happy that I found Mandi, as she does a great job! She is easy to talk to, she cares and will do her best to fulfill your wishes! She knowledgeable and experienced. Her skills are amazing, so I would highly recommend Mandi!

Ellen Montague This review is long over due! I had the opportunity to get my haircut by Samantha at re:TREAT and I couldnt be happier. I wanted to finally take the leap and get bangs and Samantha not only did an amazing job, she helped me explain how to train them/style them, AND she hyped me up. Which I needed because I hadnt had bangs since I was like 6 so I was nervous. She did a great job, theyve grown out a bit and still look amazing! Along with her, the environment at re:TREAT is very welcoming and you can tell that all the ladies there love what they do.

Dana Sides I’ve been seeing hair stylist, Kayla at re:TREAT Salon in Old Town Clovis for seven months and am absolutely thrilled with my hair transformation! Kayla has consistently been able to keep my brunette hair color from getting too warm and she always adds just the right number of highlights to look natural. My hair has never felt better or looked healthier! During my first consultation with her and subsequent appointments, she always takes the time to really listen to my issues/ideas and has great suggestions for color and cut.

Tara West Sola Salon is always neat and tidy. The interior is super neat and it is all around very chill and relaxing… I love coming to see my stylist, Gillian, here!

Julie Marsh Gillian is wonderful! Youd be lucky to have your hair care needs met by her. She is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I liked my previous stylist; but since starting with Gillian, I can truly say I LOVE my stylist!

Grayson If I could give Sola and Gillian 10 stars I would! The location is always super clean from the outside to the inside. The bathrooms are always fully stocked and maintain the quality you see when you walk into the building. All the staff are friendly. I go to Gillian. She’s always making my hair cuts and colors exactly how I want them, she does great consults before hand for new clients as well. My husband goes to her and is always happy with his cuts. Gillian does too their work if your looking for color services go to her! From fantasy colors to blondes to brunettes she’s top tier!

Mallory Hernandez Gillian has an amazing heart and soul! She puts everything into her work, and her attention to detail is INCREDIBLE. She’s always made me feel comfortable and cozy when she is doing my hair. You won’t be disappointed if you book with her!

Shes open to letting you relax in silence or have a conversation the whole way through. Shes delightful and Ill definitely be seeing her again.

Jeff Petersen Steph did an excellent job piercing our daughters ears. She specializes in childrens ear piercing. Very knowledgeable and professional. Our daughter didnt even flinch when she got it done! It was well worth the money to get it done right. The salon, located in historic Old Town Clovis, is beautiful, too. Highly recommend.

Jeff Lundeen Tamara was extremely cordial and helpful with my wifes first visit for hair cut and weave. She couldnt be happier and was extremely impressed with Tamaras personal and professional touch.

Le Family The staff is wonderful and very talented. I have never left unhappy. More than once I have herd stylist recommend other stylist who perform specialist better. I truly appreciate this because it shows integrity, and I can trust that they are honestly giving my hair their best.

Cynthia Lafrance I got my hair done with Jamie Marie. I got a balayage. I showed her two photos of what I liked and I let her decide on the colors. She did such a amazing job! Better than what I could have imagined! Not only is she a great person, she is so talented with hair!! So thankful I found her!

Called today to see if they could squeeze me in for a quick cut but was prepared to make an appointment because I understand it was last minute.The lady that answered the phone was very nice. I asked if they had any appointments available today for a hair cut, she said let me ask. Whoever she spoke to I could hear say she did not want to speak to me. Someone got back on the phone and said they didnt have time for me today and hung up without even giving me a chance to ask if I could make an appointment for another time

Beth Weinman Update (2024): Still great service, and Lizlee has really helped the look and strength of my hair. Additionally, she has started facial services, which I would also recommend - I have red-blotchy-textured skin, and after one treatment the skin tone and texture are dramatically improved. Definitely notice a difference and get a lot of compliments on her work. Original Post (2022): After pretty much stopping getting any hair cuts with the onset of COVID, and with not having found a good stylist prior to everything closing down, I feel really lucky to have found this place. Now, almost a year after finding it and several trims later, I wont go anywhere else--Lizlee is great at understanding and addressing individual needs, and I definitely recommend her.

Heather Wade I scheduled my two girls for cuts with Soben. She was AMAZING! She talked with both of them to make sure she knew exactly what they wanted and to make sure she got the length correct. She gave suggestions based on their individual hair types and listened to what they had to say. We were able to start a little early because she had a cancellation, and thank goodness, because even just for the shampoo and cuts, our appointments still took a little more than three hours total. You should probably understand that both of my kids have very thick hair (not coarse, just a LOT). I will definitely return for Soben!!

Chor Her Had my first nail appointment with Chuemee. She was so gentle with my nails and cuticles, and I did not experience any pain. My manicure and nail design came out perfect!

Cali Radman Jimmy did a fantastic job with my hair. I appreciated his attention to detail and how he re-styled my hair once he was done cutting it so that I could see how the cut would look based on how I usually style my hair. I will be coming back :)

Cristina O I was called by stylist to come in sooner than my scheduled appt, upon arrival I waited about 30 min while the stylist finished with her customer. There was another lady who walked in claiming she had an appointment but when the stylist checked she was not on her schedule. I was already sitting on the chair for my turn and the stylist insisted I wait even longer for this lady who was not on her schedule. Needless to say I walked out with no hair cut…I felt humiliated. I will never return nor recommend this place. Very unprofessional and rude!

Victoria Azizkhan Tien is the BEST! I finally found someone that can cut my hair to the style I wanted. The color that I had on my hair that was from a previous hairdresser was awful. My so-called blonde highlights were layers of red. Tien was able to change this but adding layering of color to lift this mess. Tien is a professional. She knows what she is doing. She is pleasant and kind. She never complained about all the work she had to do to make my hair come out perfect. Oh yes,I WILL BE BACK! I booked an appointment with her in 2 months. Love my new hair-do!

Miguel Mayra “雨琦” My second time coming here and would go again if I hadn’t moved away from Clovis. The hairdresser was very nice and quickly but efficiently did my hair. She styled it as well! I got medium length layers and it cost $35.

Simran Dhatt Honestly, I am not one to write reviews very often, but I had a pretty terrible experience here; it may have been just unique to me but I definitely was not comfortable. I had come to get my hair colored, and ended up with leaving nothing like what I had asked for. On top of that, I was completely manhandled, my hairdresser came off aggressive, and did not even consult with me about what I wanted - just did what he wanted to do. I was completely shocked that I was treated like this, as usually my hairdressers have been super sweet and kind to me. On top of that, my Mom had come to get her hair cut alongside me and she felt the staff was super rude as well. Do not recommend.

Chelsea S Highly recommend this salon! I saw Ava for an extension consult with cut/color. I hadn’t had my hair touched in over a year since I was pregnant. We went through the options and she gave me a full run-down of the extensions. I was looking for volume vs. length. We talked a lot about what I wanted my hair to do- I also wanted less frizz. She suggested I try a Brazilian blowout with a cut. I added color, but chose to match my current hair color. She worked around my schedule. She is very nice to work with and to talk to. My hair looks wonderful. Thanks so much!

I haven’t had a professional cut in almost 3 years and needed someone who specialized in a wavy/curly cut and she was able to get me in for an appointment next day. Jordan Falk I NEVER need to look for a hair salon or stylist again!! I have gone to Taylor at Honey Hair for the past 8 months and I couldnt be happier. I like my hair to grow out nicely without a harsh line of color, and she nails it every time. She usually does a balayage and trim on me and I always get the deep conditioning mask add on for my wash. At the end of my appointment once my hair is dried and styled I feel like a new person, and my hair feels better than ever. The environment in the salon is great too. Very energetic and full of genuinely happy stylists. I always look forward to my next appointment here!
